Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip cookies are classic sweet treats made with a buttery dough, sugar, and chocolate chips. Put in some banana and give unique taste to the cookies.

Originating in the United States, they were invented in the 1930s by Ruth Wakefield, who accidentally created them while experimenting at the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts. The cookies quickly became popular, known for their crisp edges and gooey centres. Traditionally baked until golden, they can vary in texture depending on ingredients and baking time. Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1-2 bananas

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, and butter into the mixing bowl and mix well.
  • Add eggs and vanilla and mix again.
  • Add salt, baking powder, baking soda, and flour in another bowl and whisk to combine.
  • Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix again.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and mix again.
  • If you want you can also add one or two bananas. It gives a unique taste
  • Place the dough for cookies onto the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let it cool and serve!
